Ryker’s Ride 2016

The First Ryker’s Ride for Children across Boarders charity ride has come and gone and plans are on to for the 2016 ride. We would be delighted to have your support to make the next event a greater success than the first ride.

Ryker’s Ride- What it’s all about

Paul “Ryker” Lawson, a biker and an Engineer, had traveled severally within the West African sub region and noticed the plight of many children on the streets and realised that he needed to do something to help.

He had a dream of the African Biker Nation rallying together in the support of less privileged children
The concept of Ryker’s Ride was formed as a Biker fundraising and awareness ride that unites the African Biker Nation to support and highlight the work of children’s charities and also highlight the plight and educational needs of the less privileged child.

Our passion for riding has brought us together from all parts of the nation and has united us with fellow riders across West Africa, Africa and Indeed bikers across the world. We are not affiliated to any political or religious organization but have a desire to make a difference in the lives of the less privileged children of Africa.

As we do these rides we also hope it pass on a message of unity and love to Africa, West Africa to start with on this ride, as well as showcase places of interest and the cultural heritage of Africa to the world.

We believe this would encourage the well of to help the less off in society especially the children who are the future of the world.

Ryker's ride heading out 25th September 2016 plans to go from  Nigeria into  Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone , Guinea, Guinea Bissau, The Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin and then back into Nigeria a distance of about 20000miles in all, over a 48 day period stopping to visit orphanages and Children’s Charity Homes along the route  promises to be a charity Adventure of life changing proportions.

The group of riders on Ryker’s ride  2016 is made up of like-minded professionals who love motorcycling and motorcycles and want to make a difference in our society. Our objective and purpose is to leverage on our numbers and achieve collective goodwill and support with the primary purpose of raising awareness, support and funds for orphaned, abandoned and street children in Africa.

The experience we have gained from our first ride, Ryker's ride beyond borders 2015 has given us a better understanding of the ride, logistic needs and the needs of the children and has afforded us the opportunity to make friends and contacts in West Africa  to help make the Ride in 2016 a greater success than the year before.

We hope that you all will join the ride
