We ride for SOS Children's Villages

Having travelled a few times in the West African sub region, the plight of many children on the street is something that has stayed with me and I realised that I need to do something to help.

I started researching and found the SOS Children's Villages, a world-wide charity that supports orphaned and abandoned children in 122 countries around the world.
I could have just put in my contribution but realised that the more people I could get involved the better for the children.

My friends and I would be riding our motorcycles  about  8000 miles through most of West Africa stopping to visit the children’s charity villages in each country as we go along, about 28 SOS villages in 8 West African nations to raise awareness and money for the SOS Children's Villages. We would be riding through Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Burkina Faso and Nigeria

Our  goal is: to highlight the work the SOS children’s villages have been doing and the plight of children in the sub region as well as raise funds to create and sustain  SOS Children’s Villages

We would like you to follow our page to keep abreast of how we are doing with preparations and then follow our trip when we leave in September 2015. Invite your friends to like our page  and help us raise funds for a great cause.

We  hope to  inspire and encourage  individuals and corporations to make a difference in the life of a less privileged child.

Whatever your reason for supporting us, be it impressed with our riding such a distance on motorcycles, our desire to make a difference in the life of another  or simply because you think we are mad, please donate and help us help the children who really need it. Please encourage people to direct funds to
http://www.soschildrensvillages.org.uk/sponsor-a-child/africa
Please make your donations to the SOS village you sponsor with a mention of Rykers ride
Thank you,
